I used to recommend this app to family and friends but after several years, it seems the vision of the developers no longer matches that of the customers like myself who bought in for a good local vault password manager.
The company has made a purposeful choice to move towards a goal of subscription-based cloud-only vaults and the app reflects this by handicapping features for the local vaults and make it more difficult for cross-platform users to set up a new local-only vault on 1Password versions they get for the first time on platforms such as Windows by continually trying to push them to the cloud-based model.
The lack of support for creating additional vaults from within the iOS app appears to be a purposeful exclusion by the company given theyve been aware of users often mistakenly thinking Pro includes it since 2014. Theyll advise you to create vaults on desktop app versions (which only works if you are still in free trial mode or paid for it) or move to their web based system.
Using 1 time password codes at first feels like youre getting a benefit until you actually try and use them within any of the app integrations where unlike user/password selection, youll have to manually copy once you find your selection and then dismiss through cancel to get back to the two factor prompt to paste.
If you are fine with a cloud-based solution storing your most sensitive information, this is probably an adequate program if you get the subscription but if youre expecting a first class local storage only option, you should do market research of current competitors for your needed feature set comparison and buy them instead. AgileBits has made it clear local storage vaults are second class citizens theyre waiting to either die off or "convert" to their cloud-based Koolaid.
