Im an average early-30s computer/iPhone user. Ive got a dozen-ish accounts that require passwords. I pretty much use one credit card, and I reach for it maybe once a week. Id love a form filler that consistently worked across platforms. But three bucks a month for these services? When Apple already offers free built-in software that, whatever its flaws, is still better than nothing? And when 1Passwords competition has decent free versions out there? Yeah, no. On top of all the typical monthly costs adults deal with, Im already paying for several TV/movie, podcast, and news/magazine subscriptions as well as a VPN and a networking app. Ive also set up automatic monthly donations to a handful of charities. Another $3 per month? $36 per year? To streamline a process thats not exactly time consuming to begin with? And when I havent had any security issues so far? Definitely not. Maybe a one-time charge or a much smaller annual rate. But IMO $3/month is laughable for what it does.
